Terms of use
These terms apply when you use Neko Nihongo on nekonihongo.com or in the phone apps. They are written to be read, so they are short.

Who runs Neko Nihongo
Neko Nihongo is run by Miqayel Manvelyan, an individual in Armenia ("we" on this page). You can reach us at support@nekonihongo.com.
What you get
- Kana, numbers and lessons 1 and 2 are free and need no account (in the phone apps, lesson 1).
- Lessons 3 to 5 are free with an account and a confirmed email address.
- Lesson 6 onwards needs Premium, a paid subscription. Premium opens every lesson, including new ones as they are added, on every device where you sign in to the same account.
Neko Nihongo is an independent practice app. It is not affiliated with the publisher of Minna no Nihongo, and you don't need the textbook to use it.
Your account
Keep your sign-in details to yourself; an account is for one person. You can delete your account at any time in Settings, Delete account. We may close an account that is used to abuse the service, for example to copy its content in bulk or to share one Premium subscription among many people.
Premium and payments
Premium is sold monthly or yearly. The price, in your currency and including any tax, is shown before you pay, and can differ between countries. Our order process is run by our online reseller Paddle.com, who is the merchant of record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle's buyer terms apply to the payment.
A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period and is charged to the same payment method until you cancel. If we ever change the price, we will email you at least 30 days before it applies, and you can cancel before then.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time in the app under Settings, Premium, Manage subscription, or from the link in your receipt email. Premium then stays active until the end of the period you have paid for, and you are not charged again. Your progress stays in your account.
Refunds
If Premium isn't right for you, ask for a refund within 14 days of a payment and you get it in full, no questions asked. The refund policy explains how.
The content
The exercises, translations, audio and design of Neko Nihongo are ours or used with permission. You may use them for your own study. Please don't copy, resell or republish them.
If something goes wrong
We work to keep Neko Nihongo correct and running, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of mistakes. If a fault stops you using Premium, tell us and we will fix it or refund you for the time it was unusable. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change in a way that matters, the date at the top will change, and if you have Premium we will email you before the change applies. Your personal data is covered by the privacy page.
